What do you do if a guest claims they got food poisoning at your restaurant?

Here’s how one person handled it.  It seems likely that the person calling was just looking to reduce their bill but you never know.  The restaurant person’s suggestion that he and the patron go to the health department together was probably a good idea but the patron wasn’t interested….hence the suspicion that he was looking for a comp.  Whenever you answer the phone this may be what you get to deal with….
